Ovzon and its Colombian partner Bansat have been awarded an eight-month order to provide mobile satellite connectivity to the UDAPV (Attention Unit for Vulnerable Population), a department within the Colombian Civil Registry. The order value amounts to 0.33 MUSD (3.4 MSEK)
The Colombian government and the UDAPV have previously used the Ovzon SATCOM-as-a-Service solution for different purposes and were very satisfied with the guaranteed connectivity, reliability, performance, mobility, and ease of use.
Ovzon’s SATCOM-as-a-Service offering to the UDAPV includes satellite coverage, bandwidth, and the industry-leading Ovzon T6 mobile satellite terminal. Ovzons’ unique solution will enable UDAPV personnel to access their central databases from the most remote locations in Colombia. This will allow the registration of vulnerable persons who do not have identification documents, ensuring their access to government services and acknowledging their civil rights.
“Ovzon SATCOM-as-a-Service is ideal for supporting the UDAPV mission, and together with our partner Bansat, we are offering our unique service to the Colombian government. We are very honored to continue to give them support with this critical mission,” says Ovzon’s CEO, Per Norén.
