The OverHorizon™ satellites are each configured with two steerable spot beams. Using steerable spot beams gives considerable flexibility in providing high-capacity, reconfigurable satellite coverage, responsive to the needs of our key customers. The first satellite can cover any location in the Middle East/North Africa, Central Asia and South Asia and East Africa. In addition, one piggy back payload hosted by an external satellite platform will cover a part of CONUS for training and exercise purposes. This configuration allows for flexible and rapid deployments to multiple regional theaters. Subsequent expansion of the network and services are intended to serve additional geographic regions with similar needs for rapidly deployable mobile satcoms, including other regions of Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Using a unique frequency allocation and reuse scheme, the OverHorizon™ Network allows high-capacity, high-quality access for our customers, independent of the often highly subscribed traditional networks. Using small satellites with rapid time-to-orbit allows for unique ways to address changing and evolving capacity requirements, such as co-location and intraorbital networking.
