This is a crucial function for the company’s customers in defense, rescue services, and humanitarian aid, since their missions ultimately require reliable communication for saving lives. Ovzon is dedicated to conducting responsible operations for its employees and stakeholders as well as the planet. Sustainability initiatives are therefore a vital component of operations, forming the basis of how the company acts, develops and performs. Ovzon’s Board of Directors bears ultimate responsibility for the company’s sustainability initiatives. Sustainability is part of the Board’s annual agenda, and any necessary updates and measures for improvement are discussed. The Management Group bears ultimate responsibility for updating policy documents and ensuring that the information reaches the rest of the organization. Operating activities are conducted and secured by the respective area managers. All employees must accept the company’s policy documents and act accordingly. The company has a Code of Conduct that encompasses all of Ovzon and its employees. It covers how Ovzon is to conduct business, the company’s work environment and corporate culture, and how Ovzon is to carry out environmentally sustainable operations.
Ovzon strives to develop itself in its sustainability initiatives, and routinely reviews how its operations can promote positive development going forward. During the year, the company reviewed its efforts in order to create a better platform for continuing its development in the area of sustainability. In parallel with adoption by the Board of Directors’ of the new vision and business model, decisions were also made on Ovzon’s continued sustainability program, which resulted in an updated definition of the company’s focus areas and appurtenant key performance measures.

In its sustainability initiatives, Ovzon has chosen to work on four focus areas, with priority issues in each area. The focus areas are selected based on internal and external feedback as well as identification by the Management Group and
the Board of Directors of the company’s material areas for improvement.
